🚀 Getting Started with Receiptr

Welcome aboard! Follow these simple steps to start using Receiptr.

📱 Download and Install the App

Receiptr is currently available on Android devices. Follow the steps below to download and install it from the Google Play Store.

  1. Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
  2. In the search bar at the top, type "Receiptr" and press Enter.
  3. Find the Receiptr app in the search results and tap on it.
  4. Tap the Install button.
  5. Wait for the app to download and install.
  6. Once installed, tap Open.
🍎 iOS Support

We are actively working on bringing Receiptr to iOS devices. Stay tuned for updates!

👤 Create an Account or Use as a Guest

When you open Receiptr for the first time, you'll have the option to create an account or continue as a guest.

Creating an account allows you to securely store your receipts in the cloud and access them from multiple devices (future feature) or after reinstalling the app. You can sign up using your Google account or email link authentication.

🔗 Sign Up with Google

  1. On the welcome screen, tap Continue with Google.
  2. Select the Google account you want to use from the list.
  3. Follow any on-screen prompts to authorize Receiptr to use your Google account.
  1. On the welcome screen, tap Continue with Email Link.
  2. Enter your Email Address.
  3. Tap the Send Sign-in Link button.
  4. Check your email for a sign-in link from Receiptr.
  5. Click the link in your email to complete the sign-in process.
🔒 Passwordless Authentication

Email link authentication is completely passwordless - no need to remember or create passwords! Just click the link in your email to sign in securely.

🧭 App Overview

Once you've signed in or chosen guest mode, you'll see the main parts of the Receiptr app. The app is designed with a simple navigation to help you access different features easily.

The main sections are accessed via a Bottom Navigation Bar and include:

  • 🏠 Home: Dashboard with overview of your recent activity and spending insights
  • 📋 Receipts: To view, search, and manage your scanned receipts.
  • 📸 Scan: To open the receipt scanner with multiple scanning modes.
  • 📊 Insights: To see reports and analytics on your spending.
  • ⚙️ Profile: To manage your account, settings, and plans.

Tap on each icon to explore the different sections and start digitizing your receipts!
